USynthesis And Application Of AM-DMDAAC Copolymerization Fixing Agent A

2022-10-18

Reactive dyes have many advantages such as complete chromatogram, bright color, low price and convenient use, and have become the most widely used cotton dyes. However, when reactive dyes are dyed in medium and dark colors, the wet rubbing fastness is poor, and a fixing agent is required to improve the color fastness of cotton fabrics. The traditional color-fixing agent Y and color-fixing agent M have been banned because they contain free formaldehyde and the N-methylol group present in the molecular structure will release formaldehyde. Many literatures have reported the synthesis and application of formaldehyde-free color-fixing agents for reactive dyeing, but most of these color-fixing agents use epichlorohydrin, dicyandiamide and diethylenetriamine as raw materials, and epichlorohydrin is highly toxic and is very toxic to The human body is very harmful, and its production requirements are extremely strict in the synthesis process.
Dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC) has good water solubility, is a quaternary ammonium salt monomer containing unsaturated bonds, is environmentally friendly, efficient and non-toxic, and the cationic monomer can be either bulk polymerized or Copolymerization with reactive monomers with double bond functional groups. In this experiment, acrylamide (AM) and DMDAAC were used as raw materials, and ammonium persulfate/sodium bisulfite was used as the initiator system in aqueous medium to synthesize cationic copolymer P(AM-DMDAAC). The effects of monomer mass ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time, initiator mass fraction, initiator and acrylamide feeding method on the application properties of copolymer P(AM-DMDAAC). The research results show that the synthetic P(AM-DMDAAC) has good color-fixing performance on cotton fabrics and no formaldehyde release, and can be used as a safe, environmentally friendly and efficient formaldehyde-free color-fixing agent for cotton.
in conclusion
(1) Using acrylamide (AM) and dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC) as raw materials, using EDTA as chelating agent, and using (NH4)2S2O8/NaHSO3 initiation system, the copolymerization reaction was carried out in an aqueous medium , Synthesis of binary polymer P (AM-DMDAAC). The optimized synthesis process: monomer mass fraction 40%, m(AM): m(DM-DAAC)=1:5, reaction temperature 60℃, reaction time 6 h, initiator mass fraction 1%, initiator solution and propylene The feeding method of the amide aqueous solution is continuous dropwise addition.
(2) The synthetic copolymer P (AM-DMDAAC) is used as a fixing agent for reactive dye cotton fabric dyeing, and the effect is better. The wet rubbing fastness of the dyed fabric is 3, the dry rubbing fastness is 4, and the anti-staining color fastness Degree 4.
